The Sonata has always inspired awe and ambition among fans. Each iteration of the sedan has gotten more eyeballs and piqued interest even from non-Hyundai fans. Previous models have won numerous safety, value, and design awards, which is why we’re excited about the 2025 model and have high hopes for it.

Carolina Hyundai of High Point is one of the highest-rated car dealerships in North Carolina. Our customers love us for our year-round deals, fantastic options, and superior knowledge of all things Hyundai. In fact, we can get you a winning deal on not just the new Sonata. If you’d rather get a highly-rated Hyundai car now instead of waiting, we’d recommend
a new 2025 Hyundai Tucson for sale in High Point and the surrounding areas. Initial reviews for it have been fantastic.
Back to the Sonata!
We’re expecting a late 2024 or early 2025 release. If you don’t want to wait that long, you could consider going for the current Sonata, or even a new 2024 Hyundai Elantra for sale in High Point and the surrounding areas. While it’s smaller than the Sonata, it’s still plenty spacious for a sedan, and for its price, it’s a total steal.
The Sonata is a mid-size sedan. It’s currently the biggest sedan Hyundai sells. Within the segment, it competes with the Honda Accord, the Toyota Camry, the Nissan Altima, and the Subaru Legacy. And while the sedan category might seem crowded, the Sonata packs quite the punch, offering enough for everyone at an incredible price.
If you wanted a bigger Hyundai car than the Sonata, we’d recommend a new Hyundai Santa Fe for sale in High Point and the surrounding areas. Yes, it’s an SUV, but it’s a crossover, which means it’ll offer you some of the same flexibility and performance as the Sonata but with more space and storage.
Since the 2024 Sonata saw a significant refresh, we’re expecting the 2025 model to be a carryover one, with a few minor tweaks here and there. You can expect more trim options along with more accent colors and exterior upgrades, along with some key tech improvements in the interior.
Because it’s still early, Hyundai has been relatively tight-lipped about performance, so take this information with a grain of salt. It’s subject to change as the release date gets closer.
The standard engine will be a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The N Line will have the same capacity, but with a turbocharged engine instead, while the hybrid model pairs a 2L engine with an electric motor, with a six-speed automatic transmission.
