The 2021 Hyundai Kona SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Night, Limited, and Ultimate trims all come standard with FWD but have AWD as an available option. While every 2021 Kona can be AWD, the engine it comes equipped with changes depending on the trim. The SE, SEL, and SEL Plus have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horses and 132 lb-ft of torque. It is paired to a six-speed automatic. FWD models with this engine are rated at 27-city/33-hwy mpg. The AWD models get 26-city/30-hwy mpg. The Night, Limited, and Ultimate trims have a 1.6-liter turbo-four that pumps out 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The FWD models get 28-cty/32-hwy mpg and AWD models get 26-city/29-hwy mpg.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona SE FWD is the base trim and MSRPs for $20,400. It comes standard with lots and lots of features, too, even at its low price. It has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a 7-inch touchscreen for all your multimedia needs. Safety-wise, it has forward collision warning, lane keep assist, driver drowsiness monitoring, and a rearview camera.
