While every 2021 Kona can be AWD, the engine it comes equipped with changes depending on the trim. The SE, SEL, and SEL Plus have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horses and 132 lb-ft of torque. It is paired to a six-speed automatic. FWD models with this engine are rated at 27-city/33-hwy mpg. The AWD models get 26-city/30-hwy mpg. The Night, Limited, and Ultimate trims have a 1.6-liter turbo-four that pumps out 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The FWD models get 28-cty/32-hwy mpg and AWD models get 26-city/29-hwy mpg.

Standard Features
The 2021 Hyundai Kona SE FWD is the base trim and MSRPs for $20,400. It comes standard with lots and lots of features, too, even at its low price. It has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a 7-inch touchscreen for all your multimedia needs. Safety-wise, it has forward collision warning, lane keep assist, driver drowsiness monitoring, and a rearview camera.
