Hyundai HomeLink Step-by-Step Guide

The latter steps for a rolling code and fixed code garage doors are different, but the first few steps are the same. If you don’t know which you have, don’t worry. This guide will show you which you have and how to program each.

  1. Hold your old garage door remote within 3″ of your Hyundai model’s HomeLink buttons
  2. Press and hold both the button on your old garage door remote and whichever HomeLink button you want to use
  3. Hold both buttons until HomeLink indicator light flashes
  4. After Step 3, the HomeLink indicator light will turn solid or continue to flash

If the HomeLink light turned solid, you have a fixed code garage door. If it started to flash, you have a rolling code garage door. Follow the directions below for whichever garage door you have.
