All-new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Truck to be Available Summer 2021

The 2022 Santa Cruz has one of two powertrains: a 2.5L four cylinder with an 8-speed automatic or a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. Specific numbers aren’t yet available (at the time of writing), but the official Hyundai press release does give ballpark figures. The base 2.5L four-cylinder produces “190+ horsepower and 180+ lb-ft of torque,” while the turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder produces “275+ horsepower and 310+ lb-ft of torque.” The HTRAC dynamic AWD system is available on all models, regardless of engine or trim. The 2.5L four-cylinder has a max towing capacity of 3,500 lbs; the turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity. The payload maxes out at 1,748 lbs regardless of powertrain.
The 2022 Santa Cruz has a composite-molded 4.3-foot bed. The bed include lockable under-bed and side compartments, heavy-duty cargo D-rings, LED bed lights, a factory-integrated retractable locking tonneau cover, dual C-channel utility tracks with adjustable tie-down cleats, a remote-activated tailgate, integrated rear bumper side-steps, an in-bed 115V power inverter, and a power-sliding rear window with built-in defroster.
