The Hyundai Sonata is a great vehicle. It’s a comfortable ride, spacious, has user-friendly features, and gets good gas mileage. Every year car manufacturers are putting out new models of their best-sellers. So, what is the difference between the 2019 and 2018 Hyundai Sonata? It may not look like too much has changed from the 2018 Mid-model Year Enhancement to the 2019 Sonata but let’s take a look!

2018 Hyundai Sonata

Let’s first look at what was new to the 2018 Hyundai Sonata because it did get a lot of changes from previous model years. It got new tech and driver assistance features including dual automatic temperature control, floor console-mounted rear vents, wireless phone charging pad, heated steering wheel, and an auto up/down driver window.

There also was a new transmission in the Limited 2.0T trim level and a new suspension. The exterior was refreshed with a sport mesh grille and front fascia. Advance safety features come standard on every Sonata, including: Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist.

2019 Hyundai Sonata

The 2019 Hyundai Sonata has all the same features as the 2018 Sonata with a few minor changes. It of course has the large trunk the Sonata is known for and some of the best supportive, roomy seats available in modern vehicles. The infotainment system is completely user friendly and you can connect with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The cascading front grille is new and is surrounded by a front fascia that was redesigned. You also have the option for available LED headlights. The rear was upgraded as well with restyled tail lights, trunk and lower body panel.
