You can get behind the wheel of a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe near Greensboro, NC at Carolina Hyundai of High Point, but first we can tell you all about this impressive new model.

How does the Santa Fe fit into the Hyundai crossover and SUV lineup? It’s simple, this is the biggest Hyundai SUV there is and that includes the soon-to-be-released Kona. The 2018 crossover lineup, arranged from smallest to largest, starts with the Kona and continues with the Tucson, Santa Fe Sport, and then finally the Santa Fe. One key differentiator beyond just sheer size is that the Santa Fe is the only Hyundai crossover that seats seven people with three rows.

Features and performance of the 2018 Santa Fe

The 2018 Santa Fe comes in three beautifully equipped trim levels. The base model is called the SE, and from there it goes up with the SE Ultimate and finally the top Limited Ultimate trim. With up to seven passengers of seating capacity and a surprising amount of power, all three trims would make a great companion for any family, but there are some key differences.

The SE Ultimate trim adds 19-inch wheels, a multi-view camera system, and Smart Cruise Control among other features. The Limited Ultimate trim takes things a step further by adding HID headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and second row captain’s chairs. The captain's chairs reduce the seating capacity to six. If you would like to learn more about the individual trim levels, we can certainly help you with that here at Carolina Hyundai of High Point.

Under the hood, the Santa Fe has a lot to offer. All three available trims come with the same great V6 engine. That’s right, the Santa Fe has a V6 under the hood. That engine delivers when it comes to performance too as its 3.3 liters is capable of pumping out 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. That power equates to a towing capability of 5,000 pounds.

The 2018 Santa Fe is available as both a front-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive crossover. The front-wheel drive version can get up to 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. With the amazing Hyundai all-wheel drive technology, only tiny losses are noticed in fuel efficiency when upgrading as you can still get up to 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
